The Midnight Butterfly

The midnight butterfly soars in the melancholy night,

Illuminated by the mercury glow of the moonlight,

A delicate wonder of the sunless day,

Any being that sees it,

Is called by it, to follow,

The icy touch leaves beautiful swirls of frost,

Glassy looks from the creatures of the night,

Then, leaving the stunned forest,

And borrowing some of its magic,

To restart the cycle of the peaceful night,

And the dark shadow flutters,

Into the moon, the star of the world,

The midnight butterfly, the talisman of the forest,

Soars through the melancholy night.
